What are Subordinating Conjunctions?

Subordinating conjunctions connect main clauses with subordinate clauses. The subordinate clause is subordinate to the main clause.

Subordinating conjunctions always introduce a subordinate clause and are separated by a comma.

bevor / ehe

bis

weil / da

damit

dass

sodass

solange
